Five Foods to help Blast The Fat!

March 6th, 2010

Most over-weight people don’t know about body fat reduction foods that when introduced into your daily living as healthy choices can and will help you lose the fat.

I researched and found there are variety of foods that can increase your metabolism. This means you will burn more calories, and lose body fat stores quicker by eating these types of foods.

Here is My list of Five Foods to help Blast The Fat!

Add tomatoes to your diet program. Tomatoes actually increase your bodies production of amino acids that increase your bodies call of calories
from your fat storage.

Spices are a very great way to get that metabolism all revved up, it’s like redlining your car’s engine at the drag strip.  The hotter and the spicier, the better it is for fighting the flab,  and the more your body has to work to
digest what you eat, also that means burning more fat in a shorter period of time.

Ya that’s what I’m talkin’ about!

Garlic is a like a road block to fat and further processes sugar to help keep the calories from going on you right from the start. So start adding garlic to everything you can.

Cinnamon is known to help to stabilize your blood sugar, and that means your body won’t factor valid those heavy fattening blood touch hormones as much.

Avocados are a healthy fat which helps you to burn stored fat further when you exercise. So grab that avocado before you head to the gym.

Chiles have capsaicin power them. Capsaicin releases your adrenalin, which speeds up your metabolism, think burning more calories, and keeps you from obtaining hungry as fast. Its also claimed that caspaicin also helps with those achy joints! Bonus!

Try some seafood for lunch.  If you eat seafood for lunch, you will eat less at dinner time.

It seems that Fish digests very slowly, which means you won’t be as hungry when it comes to dinner time.
Fish further keeps your body from producing  more fat storage hormones.

Don’t have time for a tasty fish lunch?
Then reach for the canned tuna or salmon.

Don’t eat carbs in the evening while getting together with your friends.  Carbohydrates consumed during the occasion keep you restless during your sleep hours.
A deserved night’s sleep is a must! Your body needs some rest after.

Drink plenty of H2O.  Be sure you drink enough water during each and every day.
Eight – eight ounce glasses of water is the figure doctors and health professional have been advocating.

If you are exercising heavily, or it is a strikingly hot day, make sure to get even more than the usual half gallon of natures best soft drink.

Finally, you should always secure your doctors blessing before beginning any new diet or exercise program.

Does the Body by Vi diet work?

December 5th, 2011

A close friend has recently been testing the Body by Vi diet. In a word, Yes. he personally, lost 6 1/2 lbs. in one week. Read what he has to say, as I interview him about his experience with the Body by Vi diet below.

Is it safe? I believe so. It consists of meal replacement shake which, honestly taste soooo good, it is hard to believe that it can be good for you… favorite recipe is the shake mix, with one half small banana, four or five strawberries and one cup of skim milk. Unnnnn-believable. I found that I was full, sometimes too full to the point of feeling stuffed, like I ate too many pancakes. I found my energy levels to be quite level with no apparent, crashes or slumps in the mid-morning or afternoon. The Vi-shake is made up of only the highest quality premium ingredients containing ….well, I really can’t explain it as good as their website does.

How much weight do you plan to lose? My ultimate goal…… 110 lbs.

So you have a way to go then? Yes, but really, I’m simply amazed by this stuff. You do your weigh in, measurements and stuff, start the program. You just replace any 2 meals with a shake, and thats it. I have one in the morning another at lunch, and eat a regular supper or dinner. I haven’t really thought about snacking in the evening. After only 2 days, i stepped on the scale, you know, just to see, and boom, there it was in the glass, I actually stepped off the scale and back on, yep, I’d lost 3 lbs. It was a great feeling. You know, and I know, I don’t have time to eat properly, maybe it is just poor time management, but the fact is I wasn’t getting my proper nutrition……I’m a guy. So losing 3 lbs. in 2 days made me feel very positive about the road I am on.

Don’t you think you could manage your time better, to eat properly? Well maybe, but i’m weak willed, I guess, call it what you will, at this stage in my life I have all thes deadlines, got to be here, there, everywhere, there is only so much time in the day. So i used to stop at mcDonald’s or somewhere like that and grab something, cause i knew I had to eat. I never really thought about it before but since I’ve been on this diet, I started looking around on the net to compare what I’m doing now to what i used to do, so I found this article that said a Egg McMuffin had 300 calories, 12 grams fat, 5 grams saturated fat, 260 mg cholesterol, 820 mg sodium, and only 2 grams of fiber. And what I thought would be a healthy choice, like a sit down type breakfast was even worse!

What would you normally have for breakfast? Well forget about a muffin and a cup of black coffee! I wouldn’t last 10 minutes and I’d be wanting more, so normally, I would eat say some scrambled eggs, 3 or 4 strips of bacon, 3 pork sausages, some multi grain toast, and a glass or 2 of milk……that would keep me full but that is a 1400 calorie breakfast…

Wow! So you find this to bewiser choice for you, I think that its great, but what about the cost? Yeah, thats the great thing about this, it costs less than 4 bucks a day. I used to spend that on cans of Coke.

And you don’t any more? No, i mean, I haven’t had the craving for them like I used to, not that I dislike Coke, but I think I seemed to grab them for energy, just to keep going. I don’t seem to feel the need for one.

So you would recommend others like yourself, to try the Body by Vi? Yes, without a doubt.

And I think, so would I.

How To Lose Belly Fat – The Easy Way!

October 12th, 2009

If you’re ready to Lose Belly Fat, here are five important tips you need to read before you begin.
Just follow these five tips for losing that stubborn belly, thigh and arm fat.

Recent scientific studies have discovered a key trigger in losing this specific types of fat,
the worst kind of abdominal fat is sometimes called cellulite.

1. A important factor when you start your efforts to lose belly fat is making sure that you have a clear and easy to follow plan.
The reason why this is important is because you need to see results in order to keep a positive focus on your goal.
If you don’t have a clear and easy to follow plan, then you run the risk of derailing your efforts, losing hope, time and money,
and most importantly, your positive outlook. I don’t have to tell you how important it is to keep your esteem level up, up and up
and on the rise. Most therapists and physicians recognize the effects of low self esteem and binge eating. This will cause
a delay in seeing the results you’ve desperately been looking for and cause you to doubt the plan, and then give up altogether,
until you start another program to try again.

2. Another important consideration for losing fat fast is when you begin your fat loss diet.
It’s critical that you pick a time when your absolutely determined to succeed, a time when your full of confidence
so as to ensure you make it through the first few days, so you see and feel the results fast.
If you make sure that you stick to the plan, then you’ll be fine.

3. You don’t have to starve yourself in order to lose the belly fat, if fact, nothing could be further from the truth.
All you need to do is eat the right, tasty, and everyday foods at the right times of day and make sure that you don’t
sit on your butt every minute of the day. Get up off the couch, walk around the yard, if your shy, try walking at night,
or early morning, when the chance of you being seen by the neighbors or others is less, in other words, avoid those people
that you may bring up negative thoughts, this is especially important for people that live in small towns.

4. Instead of complicating your fat loss efforts by jumping from fad diet to fad diet and or, buying expensive ready made meals,
try it this way: Follow this simple fat loss program and then watch the belly fat melt away.
In fact, if you have tried, some of those “buy our food plans” then you will find that you will have money to spare
buying the proper foods scientists recently discovered in this revolutionary program.

5. Have you considered asking a friend to join you? Starting a mutual support group, go shopping together and buy
your fat blasting foods together, get out of the house and go for slow walks together, being sure you can carry
both carry on a conversation together without huffing and puffing as you stroll along, as you begin to burn your fat off
you’ll soon find yourself walking faster, climbing stairs faster, and smiling more.
It’s not as difficult as you might think. What you need to do is start the program, believe in it and yourself and
live your life belly fat free!

So if you really want to lose weight and that stubborn fat, follow these tips to Lose the Belly Fat – The Easy Way.

How You Can Easily Trim Off Those Extra BBQ Season Inches

August 18th, 2011

How do I trim off those extra BBQ season inches and pounds? Blush

It is easy to add on a few extra pounds and inches, with entertaining friends and relatives during summer. Hosting backyard barbecues, going for brunches, late nights, maybe you rediscovered how good Paralyzers go down on a hot summers night on your deck talking about old times. So add in, a lack of sleep, well, you get the picture. Now is the perfect time to get reacquainted with the body image you want and the one you have. Take a picture of yourself, take some measurements, thighs, hips, waist and biceps, now weigh yourself, on a good scale like the EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale. Record all this information, either in a journal, or on your computer.

I recently discovered a really some cool little Apps for the Google Android phones for the HCG diet. This little miracle helps you out when your shopping, planning meals. Now I haven’t reviewed the HCG diet just yet, so I really cannot comment on it….But, the fact someone has developed this handy little application for my phone has me thinking I am going to have to check it out. The price is less than 10 bucks….

To help you keep track of your efforts, because you know I’m going to recommend getting to know your neighbourhood again…..on foot! If your don’t already have have pedometer to count steps, distance, and if you have a better model, calories burnt, you should check out the Fitbit Wireless Personal Trainer. I really like this one, I like the style and features of this one.

Combine this with the inspirationally titled journal called, I Will Get Fit This Time, that will help you keep track of your efforts on paper, I, myself am a strong believer in visualization. By simply writing down your goals, and by reaffirming your achievements, you will become a believer in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself or your goals…….there is little hope of attaining them….so do you believe in yourself? Say Yes right now to yourself. Do it and say it, till you believe it!

Start with a short walk, get some fresh air, and warm up slowly, after 10 minutes, pick up the pace, challenge some hills, feel some pump in those legs, swing those arms, move those hips baby, your toning up and on your way to losing weight! Now circle your way back home, slow down, cool down or warm down on your way home. Reward yourself with a glass of water or two, and a orange to help get rid of the lactic acid build up. Avoid Soft drinks and junk food!

How to lose belly fat fast?

March 3rd, 2011

I was just wondering what is the fastest way to lose belly fat?

For most of us who are overweight, we seem to have the most fat on our belly. And when someone wants to lose weight, the main thing they really want to do is lose belly fat.

Some say obesity is an epidemic these days, but we beg to differ. WE think belly fat is the real epidemic. Yes, there are plenty of people who have fat on their arms and legs, or evenly distributed throughout their bodies, but the majority of overweight people today harbor more fat on their belly than anywhere else on the body.

And there’s a reason for it. Today’s life is hectic, rushed, and stressful. We don’t routinely cook anymore, and when we do it’s not actually cooking at all. Instead, we warm up microwave meals, or mix something with water out of a box. If it can’t be ready in a few minutes, most people won’t bother with it.

That’s convenience. That’s why fast food is so popular… we don’t have to spend any time or effort on it. But that’s also why we have so much belly fat in the United States today.Try this math on for size: Your typical full size hamburger, small fries and Coke equals out to be around 1000 calories. Not only does the average woman only require 1800-2500 calories per day, this meal will exceed both fat and sodium requirements by a large margin. That 1000 calorie feast is usually consumed in half an hour or less, (considerably less if eaten while driving). It took half an hour to consume; now how long will it take to burn off that same amount of calories? Depending on the activity it could take two hours on up to about six.

You see, your body is a very smart, very efficient machine. When you feed it junk and convenience foods, you’re not giving it much in the way of nutrition. Instead you’re actually giving it a lot of sugar and empty calories.

The body thinks you’re starving, though. Since there’s no decent nutrition being fed to it, you must be in the midst of a famine. So the body’s job is to keep you alive. And if it thinks you’re in a famine phase, it will store away anything it can, in any way it can. And this usually ends up meaning you get more fat stores added.

Now the body creates these extra fat stores on your belly, because that’s the core part of your body. You need your arms and legs to run away from predators and survive in general. Over hundreds of thousands of years, the body has evolved to allow you easier free use of your arms and legs.

This is all part of the body’s built-in survival mechanism.

The body hasn’t had time to adapt to modern uses of itself. It evolved into it’s current state over thousands of years, but we’ve just begun to use convenience foods and processed, chemical-loaded junk in the past hundred. So it’s still doing what it needs to ensure you stay alive; thus you get fat created on your belly.

Getting rid of belly fat is fairly easy to do, but most of us don’t like it. Why? Because it generally involves not eating those sugary and convenient foods we adore so much these days.

What is the best exercise there is to lose belly fat?

February 18th, 2011

PLEASE READ – im on a diet
yes i watch my food but i just dont know what exercise to do.
I am athletic & all & can run fast but i just want to lose fat ((( everywhere ))) ((( including belly fat ))) GOOD & FAST to play soccer.

There’s only ONE WAY to lose fat – and that is to create a calorie deficit. However, there are two ways to create a calorie deficit – one is to decrease your food intake so you are eating less than you burn, the other is to increase your exercise and activity so you are burning more than you eat.

Of the two ways to create a calorie deficit, burning the fat is far superior to starving it. You see, cutting calories too much causes weight loss at first, but it also causes muscle loss and it eventually leads to a decrease in metabolism, so the weight loss stops. This is very common on conventional diets, right? You lose weight in the beginning, but then you hit a plateau that you just can’t break through. Cutting calories even more at this point only digs you even into a deeper “metabolic hole.”

Eating more of the right foods (up to a certain point) actually increases your metabolic “heat” like putting wood on a fire. Food is energy; food is fuel, and it produces (metabolic) heat.

Exercise burns calories and creates a calorie deficit, but the real advantage of exercise over diet is that exercise increases your metabolism, dieting slows it down. Exercise also has major health benefits, while starvation can only create health problems.

So if you eat more (healthy foods) and exercise more, you get a double increase in metabolism. If you eat less and exercise less you get a double decrease in metabolism. That makes complete sense doesn’t it?

The IDEAL exercise program for fat loss has a combination of cardiovascular (aerobic) training and strength training. But ultimately, you’re not likely to stick with exercise long term unless you choose activities you enjoy – so pick something you enjoy, even if it doesn’t follow the guidelines of “traditional” fat loss programs. It’s better to do something than nothing, and all exercise counts.

Some people may have orthopedic problems which limit the type of exercise they can do. But nearly everyone can walk. So if you can walk, then walk. And almost everyone can do some type of strength training. Instead of focusing on what you can’t do or what you don’t like to do, direct your attention to what you CAN do and what you would like to do.

Maybe you don’t like being couped up inside all the time. Maybe you’d prefer hiking or jogging outside. Or maybe boxing or martial arts sounds cool to you. Maybe you like basketball or tennis. Maybe you’d enjoy classes, or yoga or pilates. Your options are nearly unlimited, but you have to do something or your body will begin to deteriorate.

As you increase your lean muscle mass, you’ll also get a permanent increase in your resting metabolic rate. Muscle is what drives your metabolism, keeps you young and makes you look more physically attractive. Others will notice how good you look, and you’ll feel better about yourself too. Yes, you may lose weight from diet alone, but you’re likely to end up a “skinny fat person” with a slow metabolism and very little lean body mass (not to mention, you’ll probably gain back all the fat)

Last, but not least, be careful what you say to yourself over and over because that tends to program your subconscious mind and create your self image. If you’ve been repeating to yourself for years, “I’m not big on exercise” or “I’m not an exercise person”, that eventually becomes a part of your identity. You always tend to behave in alignment with your identity in order to stay “true to yourself.”

Maybe when you look in the mirror after just a few weeks and see your body start to change you’ll begin to like enjoy exercise a LOT. It can get addictive, you know. The endorphins that are released when you exercise are like opiates. Ever hear of “runners HIGH?” Ever hear of an “exercise addict?” What would YOU rather be hooked on? Forget about popping pills, Your body is the most exquisite pharmacy on the planet. Exercise is a better fat burner, health creator, energy producer and anti-depressant than any man-made drug will EVER be. Exercise can be fun and FEEL GOOD too.

Human beings were meant to move. Bodies don’t lose their function by being used too much and “wearing out”, they lose their function by not being used enough and “rusting out.” So if the positive benefits of exercise don’t motivate you enough, then just picture yourself 10, 20 years from now and imagine what will happen to you if you DON’T start exercising today.

I hope this is beneficial to you reaching your goals!

What is the best and fastest way to lose belly fat?

February 4th, 2011

What is the best and fastest way to lose belly fat?

I want to help someone out but I don’t want to give her the wrong advice, I am trying to help my bestfriend lose 50 pounds safely, the fat is mostly on her arms and belly.

Step 1

Training: 1% of your overall ab development will actually come from training. Consider the fact that most people think 90% of your results come from training, you can see this isn’t the popular consensus. Needless to say, that’s where most focus their efforts. They don’t get their nutrition in order, they don’t use cardio effectively so the masses just do more ab training and more crunches. Ultimately for your abs to show you must have abs to show and a low percentage of body fat for them to appear. More training does nothing to eliminate the layer of fat that is covering them. This is commonly know as spot reduction. Training an area for the sole purpose of eliminating fat in that area.

Tip – Do not make training the #1 priority to show off those abs. Train them like any other muscle. More ab work will not make your abs appear. Focus on lowering your body fat levels and not spot reduction.

Step 2:

Cardio: 9% of your effort can be directed as using cardio as a fat burning tool. High intensity interval training is by far the fastest and most efficient method you can use to shed the pounds. You’ll want to keep in mind, using cardio is a tool. Not a foundation. This simply means that doing marathon sessions will not be to your advantage. Learn to use cardio effectively and you can enhance and boost your metabolism beyond what even eating the right foods can do. Some competitive bodybuilders use cardio up to twice a day for 30 days to just chisel off that last remaining layer of fat that’s cover up the abdominal region.

Tip – Cardio can be done twice a day for a full body shock! Just keep in mind this method is a short term tool and not a routine you would use for any length of time.

How can I lose abdominal fat?

January 7th, 2011

Hey, I’m a 15 year old guy and am 130 pounds. I am not a super chubby kid at all but for some reason all my fat seems to collect in my abdominal region. I really want to get rid of it somehow. I eat pretty healthy and I get good nutrition n stuff. I also swim for 2.5 hours every day on the swim team and do a lot of deck work (crunches, leg lifts, ect.) there too. I don’t know what to do about it. Any help? Thanks!

Walking is the best way to lose belly fat, believe it or not. Swimming is good too though. and it just might be the way you’re shaped. Now, if you’re 130 lbs, I doubt you have ANY belly fat. I think you’re thinking because you don’t have six pack that that means you have belly fat. If you want a six pack, crunches, and the machine where you sit up and push down with your abdominal muscles with a counterweight is good as well as the one where you twist with your abdominals with a counterweight as well.
I would also recommend yoga or pilates.

How can I lose belly fat without losing too much weight?

December 10th, 2010

I am 15 years old (male) and I have belly fat and love handles. Albeit, I am not obese or overweight, I still would like to lose belly fat and slim down my stomach area. I heard that cardio can make you lose fat but I am worried that if I do too much cardio that I will lose a lot of weight. Any advice on how to lose the belly fat without losing too much weight on cardio exercises? Also is it advisable to lose the belly fat first and then concentrate on ab toning afterwards? Or maybe its better to do the ab muscle training along with the cardio?

P.S. can you also tell me how long the whole process will take?

If you are doing lots of cardio, which is good for your heart and body, and do not want to lose weight but some fats, then you can eat more complex carbs and lean protein. The protein will enable you to turn them into muscles, if you weight train.

Overall, eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and exercise, you will not have problem losing some fats.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
